In 2006, a group of a students decided to create a group to uphold and display the enriched 
and diverse cultures of Nigerian in the best ways possible. This association was called the Nigerian Students Association. From within a small four walled office, they met and agreed to channel their energy and time into positive productivity that would illuminate their surrounding with their creative backgrounds and cultures. Years later and with growing numbers, this association has now evolved to a point where it not only projects the countries diverse cultures, but also serves as a representation of Nigeria at York University. Open to every student around York University, the goal of the this group will not only be to enlighten members and surroundings with the beautiful attributes of Nigeria and her cultures, but also includes creating a conducive and fun environment for all her members academically and socially.
